Amy Scher (Cohen)
I am retired from teaching 2nd and 3rd grade in Montgomery County, MD. I haven't given up teaching as I still substitute during the school year. After graduation from high school I attended Penn State then transfered to Boston University where I received a degree in Elementary Education. I married Mark in 1966. We then both attended Stanford University in Calif. for graduate degrees. I received a Masters in Education in 1967. I taught in California and had my two girls there. We moved back to this area in 1975. I started teaching in Montgomery County in 2000. I also enjoy visiting my two daughters and their children. My older daughter, Sandy, has two girls and my younger daughter, Deanna, has a boy and one on the way due in November.

Update: My daughter, Deanna had a baby girl on Nov. 30th so I now have 4 grandchildren. Recently I got back to my love of singing by joining a chorus. We sing mostly show tunes and pop music. My hobby is playing bridge and I am in two groups. The traveling that Mark and I do is mostly to visit our daughters and their children as they are not local. Sandy lives in Brooklyn, NY and Deanna lives in St. Paul, MN We really enjoyed the reunion. Catching up with "old" friends was great!
