IN MEMORY - January 11, 2015 - After graduation from Washington-Lee, my life has been pretty much what we would all call a "regular" rollercoaster with ups and downs along the way. I graduated from East Carolina University, then was a high school teacher as well as football and track coach at JEB Stuart High School in Falls Church. I left teaching to pursue a career in human resource management and after 33 years retired as Deputy Director, Human Resources, FDIC. In semi-retirement I continue to work and volunteer doing things I enjoy and serving causes my heart yearns to support.

I met my wife, of 44 years, Beverly Jones, a native of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, in college, falling in love with her at first sight, although she was dating a good friend at the time. Beverly is Director of Exhibitions and Collection Management at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, is an exceptional wife, as well as "Super Mom and Grandmother" to our two daughters and grandchildren. Our oldest daughter Megan, a Physician Assistant - C, MHS, in, Boston, is also the mother of our grandchildren, Caroline and Patrick. Our other daughter, Cara, is a Senior Graphic Designer, in Philadelphia.

This reunion is very hard for me. As many of you know, I recently lost my vibrant and beloved identical twin brother, Tom, to a heart attack. Even with our personality differences - he was an extrovert, an adventurer who didn't mind taking chances and I am an introvert, conservative and cautious - Tom and I were always very close. Tom was a cherished and loyal friend who gave of himself to so many so that they might have the best that life has to offer.

You are loved, missed and remembered, dear brother..
