Paula Hill (Smith)
After graduation I began a secretarial job with the US Government. In the fall of 1961 I met my future husband Paul at my church. He had just graduated from Virginia Military Institute and was working on the 495 beltway. We married in 1962 and the ROTC sent us to Europe. We lived in France for a year and had our first daughter, then to Germany where are second daughter was born. We returned to the states in 1965, stationed in MD. Our son was born there. In 1970 we moved to the Belgium Congo in Africa. We were there 3 yrs and loved it. The rest of his career was in the US
In 1993 my husband was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's and died in 2002.
In 2004 I sold my home in VA and decided to move to Tampa where my son and daughter lived. I have three wonderful grandchildren, the oldest just graduated from George Mason in May. Life is good.
