Loren (Larry) Keating
Retired from Georgia Tech's City and Regional Planning Program in 2007 as Emeritus Professor. Wound down the nonprofit advocacy planning shop I had started in the 1970s and continue the advocacy work as a solo act or as a member of various other groups. Been working on fair housing issues in the Southeast and writing more
action oriented stuff--homeless news letters, briefs for fair housing
lawsuits, etc. Travel more, work less. Spend summers in Ireland.
Anne Sweatt Keating and I had two daughters before we divorced.
Fortunately for both of us, both women now live in Atlanta. The
older one, Lauren, will marry later this spring. The younger one is
married and has two daughters. Both have productive careers.
