I graduated from William & Mary in 1964 with a B.A. in government, then received a J.D. from Georgetown Law School in 1968. Most of my career was with the State Department, where I met my husband Warren Richards. I concentrated on telecommunications trade issues, and Warren on telecommunications spectrum and regulatory issues.
Before retirement, we both traveled internationally extensively for work and leisure, and continue to do so for leisure in retirement. We have been to 6 of the 7 continents, and plan on visiting the 7th (Antarctica) in early December.
My life-long hobbies, beside travel, have been gardening and photography.
We have five grands -three in Denver and two is South Florida - and three of them are already in college! The picture is of me and my eldest granddaughter when she graduated from high school in Denver last year.
When we're not traveling we're either at our house in Hamilton (with our two dogs and a cat) where we have a view of the Blue Ridge and I indulge my passion for landscaping and gardening on our three acres, or at our second home in Lewes, Delaware where we enjoy both the Atlantic and the Delaware Bay, and the shore birds, especially in the migration seasons.
