Having spent the last 45 years in California and 41 of those years in San Francisco, I feel a little removed from Arlington and the beginning of my life. I have been an attorney, a stockbroker, a wholesale Chinese food producer, a money manager, a real estate developer, a fundraiser for two start-ups and now a budding novelist. I have raised two boys to maturity and seen them launched on their own. I have been married for 43 years to the same woman. Life has been good to me and I am looking forward to seeing all of you next month in Arlington.
