Wow! I don't feel old enough to attend a 50th reunion. Ha! When I graduated from W-L I went to Southern Seminary Jr. College in Buena Vista, Va. I didn't want to go to college but my folks forced me. What a great decision that was! I loved it. Finished there and transferred to East Carolina University where I met my husband, Buddy Stewart, got married, had our 1st child, Neil, and then Buddy graduated. We stayed in Greenville another year for me to graduate with a B.S. in Home Ec.

Buddy got a teaching and coaching job in St. Pete,
Fla. so off we went for 2 yrs. I taught Home Ec. there. Then, back to Greenville, NC where he got his master's and to Raleigh, where he taught and coached. We then had 2 girls, Michele and Ashley.

I opened a fabric shop, sold sewing machines and taught sewing classes for 8 yrs. Sold the shop. Started hanging wallpaper (and made way more $ than in retail). I went from wallpaper to owning and managing rental properties for my Mom and me. From there I started doing remodeling with a small crew of experienced men. For the last 15 yrs. I have been buying fix-up houses and flipping them. I also handle part of the maintenance for a large property management company here in Raleigh. I love what I do!! Oh yes, Buddy didn't care for the rentals, flips, etc. He and I went our separate ways after 24 yrs. of marriage. All of the kids stayed in Raleigh and are doing well. Neil is an auto mechanic, Michele is a stay at home mom who's husband is a chiropractor (they have been together since sophomore yr. in h.s.) and Ashley is a real estate paralegal and the office manager. I have 4 grandkids. All of them are better students than I ever was!

See you guys tonite!
