After graduation I went to work for the Post Office in Arlington. I was there from 1960 until 1967, first full time then in 1963 I started college and worked there summers and holidays. I graduated from the University of Miami in 1967 and received my bachelor's degree in Marketing concomitant with my induction notice into the Army. I was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division and was in Vietnam July 1968 until my discharge in July 1969. From September 1969 until I retired in 1992, I was with the Drug Enforcement Administration as a Special Agent. I had assignments throughout the world including two tours in Detroit, three in Washington, D.C., Miami, Key West, Bangkok Thailand, and San Francisco. I married in 1970; we have two children and one granddaughter. After I retired I worked from 1992 until 2007 as an independent contractor in a variety of capacities mainly dealing with security and loss prevention with the pharmaceutical industry. My current duties in retirement consist of walking the dog, grocery shopping and having dinner ready and the martini's shaken and chilled when my wife gets home from work.
